Technologist II- Radiography

JOB SUMMARY : The Physiotherapist II has specialist clinical expertise in a specific area of pediatrics. The post holder is expected to provide a high standard of specialized Physical Therapy, completing assessment, planning, treatment, evaluation and advice to children and their carers/families, working as an autonomous practitioner with responsibility for a caseload and without direct supervision. The post holder will have a high level of knowledge and skill with regards to specific high quality outcome measures used for assessment of patients in this area of care. The Post Doctoral Fellow, as part of the program team, engages in collaborative scientific work with other colleagues to deliver specific research tasks. The Postdoctoral Fellow may also prepare status reports on program process. Under supervision, the Physiotherapist is responsible for competently providing safe and effective physiotherapy care to Women and Children within Sidra Medicine. Independently manages non-complex clients and assesses physiotherapy needs, plans, and implements and evaluates therapy programmers. Requires regular supervision with complex clients. The Physiotherapist works in collaboration with other members of the health care team and strives to provide evidence-based care by integrating research with practice. Prompts continuous improvement and helps to generate innovative ideas within physiotherapy practice. Maintains a commitment to life-long learning and creates, utilizes and/or disseminates new knowledge to patients and their families, the public and other professionals internal /external health professionals. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary imaging team, the Technologist II - Radiography, under the direction of the Supervisor - Radiography, performs the operational activities pertaining to the Radiography imaging services to ensure delivery of a high quality Diagnostic imaging service at Sidra. The General Radiography imaging service provides inpatient and outpatient Radiography procedures on pediatric and adult patients on a referral basis and medical research. The Technologist II - Radiography deputizes for the Supervisor - Radiography as and when required. Through the production of high quality images, the Technologist II - Radiography are responsible to ensure a high standard of service is continually provided to all patients, parents and other hospital staff as prescribed in the patient care and facility standards set down by Sidra Medicine. The Clinical Nurse Leader supports the Clinical Nurse Manager in leading, precepting and mentoring the nursing and midwifery staff as clinical expert in a unit/ service. The Clinical Nurse Leader is a key member of the interprofessional team and ensures that standards for nursing and midwifery care are adhered to at unit/service level while working within an assigned shift. The incumbent is accountable for shift coordination, patient flow, patient experience and resource allocation. The incumbent delivers clinical care for the majority of their time and supports the Clinical Nurse Manager to ensure successful commissioning. The Clinical Nurse Leader is professionally accountable to the Chief Nursing Officer.
